37TH EPF ANNUAL CONFERENCE

The European Psychoanalytical Federation (EPF) is the scientific federation of all European psychoanalytical Societies and Study Groups belonging to the International Psychoanalytical Association (IPA). Established in 1966-1969, today it consists of 43 Societies with nearly 5500 members and 2500 candidates in 32 countries in which 27 languages are spoken. The aim of the annual conference is to bring together as many of these members as possible and thus offer a lively exchange and cooperation across borders.
The 37th EPF Annual Conference is held in the Palazzo dei Congressi and the Palazzo degli Affari in Florence from 20 to 24 March 2024. This year’s theme is “Identifications – Identifikationen – Identifications”.
The conference traditionally consists of two main components: the Main Conference, from Friday morning to Sunday lunchtime, and the Pre-Conference from Wednesday afternoon to Thursday evening. While the Main Conference offers Plenaries and Panels on the main theme, a film screening/discussion, and special discussions to which all participants have access, the Pre-Conference only offers smaller workshops for which pre-registration is required. All sessions will be presented in one of the three EPF languages, English, German and French. On some conference days, there will also be social events such as the Welcome Reception, a champagne reception on Thursday evening, or the Dining and Dancing, a gala dinner on Saturday evening.
