The last two decades, periodontal plastic surgery has faced an incredible cultural revolution, with the publication of numerous innovative surgical procedures and dozens of clinical trials that have defined its clinical effectiveness. In this sense, reconstructive surgery of periodontal soft tissues, from a niche topic for a few refined colleagues, has become a highly current topic for numerous dentists, who place patients' periodontal health and esthetics at the center of their profession. At the same time, this cultural process has moved around the implants. If in the early years of the new millennium it was thought that peri-implant soft tissues were absolutely secondary to bone support, today it’s evident that an adequate quantity of peri-implant tissues prevents inflammation, guarantees greater long-term stability and improves the esthetics of implant-prosthetic therapy.
With this cultural background, the course on 10 and 11 May 2024 will be completely dedicated to "Periodontal and peri-implant plastic surgery".
